PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: “Tacet No More”, a podcast series that asks the questions that need to be asked, and says the things that need to be said about classical music, debuted their official season two trailer. The first episode of the season launches on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, on all major podcast platforms.

Hosted by entrepreneur, youth advocate, and Principal Double Bass Joseph Conyers and citizen artist and Assistant Principal Cello Yumi Kendall, of the Philadelphia Orchestra, the new season centers on driving the different and challenging questions in the classical music industry while sharing actionable resources that lead to systemic change within the space. Each episode of the podcast explores a different topic of obstacles and breakthroughs within the classical music sphere – from organizations working to open up pathways for Black orchestral musicians and visionaries fostering ecosystems to support arts education to young professionals charting a new course in the sector. Tacet No More aims to provide a space for realistic optimism and positive discussions around the power of music to better humanity while reconnecting listeners to their lives’ meaning and purpose.

The show is created, hosted, and executive-produced by Yumi Kendall and Joseph Conyers, edited by Andrew Mellor, and managed and produced by Lindsay Sheridan. Marketing and promotion is managed by Brenda Hernández Jaimes.

“I've had such a good time working with my dear friend and colleague, Yumi Kendall, speaking about the issues that can make for positive changes in our industry,” said Joseph Conyers, executive producer and co-host of Tacet No More. “As long as folks are listening, we'll keep on talking in hopes that our conversations resonate with listeners and inspires others to make a difference in their own community.”

“Joe and I continue to be delighted to connect with our listeners, and we’ve so appreciated the support from our first season,” said Yumi Kendall, co-host and executive producer of Tacet No More. “Thank you for being a part of this space, and we are thrilled to share season two with you this summer!
